Red hat? Check! Blue duffle coat? Check! Emergency marmalade sandwich? Triple check!
Exciting news for fans of the loveable bear! This October, Spinningfields will welcome Paddington Bear as part of the Paddington Visits trail, which sees statues of the famous bear appearing in cities, towns and scenic locations across the UK and Ireland. The trail is celebrating the much-anticipated release of Paddington in Peru, coming to UK cinemas on 8 November 2024.
Each carefully crafted and beautifully painted statue will showcase Paddington in his iconic red hat, blue duffle coat and, of course, holding a marmalade sandwich.
Visitors of all ages can step into Mr Gruber’s shoes, sit with Paddington for a delightful spot of tea, enjoy a sandwich or two, and even write a postcard to Aunt Lucy!
The Paddington Visits trail launches just ahead of the bear’s latest cinematic adventure, Paddington in Peru, which hits cinemas in the UK and Ireland on 8 November. This new chapter sees Paddington returning home to the Peruvian jungle to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, now living at the Home for Retired Bears. Accompanied by The Brown Family and Mrs Bird, Paddington embarks on a thrilling adventure as a mysterious disappearance leads them on an unexpected journey from the Amazon rainforest to the peaks of the Peruvian mountains.
Paddington will make his first appearance at Spinningfields in early October, joining a host of other cities including London Paddington, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Birmingham, along with many more!
Be sure to check back for more updates and information on how you can meet Paddington at Spinningfields this autumn.
AHEAD OF THE NEW FILM, FANS, FAMILIES AND FRIENDS CAN SIT DOWN AND HAVE A CHAT WITH THE MARMALADE LOVING BEAR
